Dayton CVB Celebrates 2019 Community Ambassadors

The annual celebration was held May 2 at the Dayton Arts Institute

On May 2, 2019, the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau's National Tourism Week Celebration & Community Ambassador Awards Breakfast was held at the Dayton Art Institute.

Annually, the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau recognizes five outstanding event/meeting planners who were instrumental in bringing their organization's event to Dayton/Montgomery County over the past year. Meeting and event planners are the key decision-makers when it comes to selecting a destination or site for a group's convention or event.

Each of the five individuals is presented with an official leather flight jacket from Dayton, the birthplace of Aviation. The 2019 award recipients, and the events they hosted in Dayton/Montgomery County were: Dr. Hunter Phillips Goodman - 2018 Impact National Conference; Barry Jones - Family Life/Weekend to Remember Conference; Greg Gust - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Bowling Tournament; Carol Goland - Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association Annual Conference; and Dave Blake - Fifteenth Air Force Bomb Group Reunion.
