Letter: Columbus Has Hit Convention Home Run

OSAE's own J. Clarke Price commends the ASAE annual meeting

Kudos, congratulations and a hearty “way to go” to Brian Ross and the team at Experience Columbus, Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and the 600-plus volunteers who made the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) convention in Columbus not just a success, but a success of epic proportion.

The ASAE convention is often described as “the Super Bowl of meetings” and that is an accurate description. There were more than 5,000 visitors for the event and the overwhelming majority of the associations represented plan meetings — often very large meetings. There will be a lot of return visitors from this group, and they’ll be bringing hundreds of thousands of future convention attendees with them.
