Series Shows How Certifications Can Help Businesses

Find out more through the You’re Certified! Now What? training series

"You’re Certified! Now What?" is an eight-part training series that can help businesses make the most of the certifications they have received from the state of Ohio.

The first four sessions have been held, but businesses can still sign up for the remaining four sessions. The Feb. 8 session will cover the benefits of federal government contracting, and the Feb. 15 session will focus on the Ohio Department of Development (ODD) resources.

The program is specifically designed to help businesses that have been certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE); a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE); a Veteran-Friendly Business Enterprise (VBE); and an Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) business.

The series is held periodically, and the current one runs through March 1, 2022. It is held at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, and the sessions will be virtual through Microsoft Teams. There is no cost to participate. Each session will provide information about making the most of business certifications, including advice on landing contracts with federal, state, and local governments.
