More employees want work-from-home to become permanent

When offices first shut at the beginning of the pandemic, some workers were happy to be able to spend more time with families and less time in airports. Some felt more productive and had the space to set up home offices. But others had to juggle work and childcare, were forced to work from their bedrooms, and felt that separation between work and personal life completely collapsed.

The (COVID-19) pandemic made millions of people reassess what was important to them in terms of work-life balance, including how and where they did their work.

But how exactly did these priorities change for workers at different seniority levels, for women versus men, or for those joining the labour market versus those in the middle of their careers? And how can companies ensure that their plans for hybrid work/return to the office are aligned with employee expectations, especially in a highly competitive labour market?
