COVID-19 Update: 3,605 Newly Confirmed Cases

Week of March 14, 2022

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 3,605 new COVID-19 cases and 309 new hospitalizations for the week.

The agency also reported 396 additional deaths from COVID.

The ODH also reported 2,666,030 confirmed cases, 37,806 deaths and 113,474 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 2,607,778 presumed recoveries and indicated approximately 7,266,570 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine; this figure represents 62.17 percent - a low figure compared to numbers nationwide. The national figure is 76.6 percent.

On March 14, 2022, the ODH announced it will only report COVID-19 data weekly rather than daily. This is in response to a significant decrease in cases and hospitalizations statewide. It will only be reported on Thursday; thus, OSAP will only report it on Thursdays, too.
