AEP Restores Power to 6,000 in Columbus

The outings keep occurring to the company's clients

Power has been restored following two outages that left approximately 6,000 customers without power Friday evening, according to AEP Ohio.

The first outage happened just before 6:15 p.m. in the northeast part of the city near Morse Road and Hamilton Road. The power company told 10TV that more than 4,200 customers lost power due to an issue at a substation. 

The second outage happened in north Columbus' Linworth area. Shortly before 7 p.m., around 1,700 customers lost power. AEP Ohio said that the power outage was due to a substation issue, as well.
