COVID-19 Update: 29,876 Newly Confirmed Cases
Week of July 25, 2022
Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 29,876 new COVID-19 cases and 705 new hospitalizations for the week.
The agency also reported 54 news deaths.
The ODH also reported 2,948,242 confirmed cases, 38,857 deaths and 119,745 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 7,410,968 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine; this figure represents 63.4 percent - a low figure compared to numbers nationwide, which are approximately 84.3 percent of the populace.
On March 14, 2022, the ODH announced it will only report COVID-19 data weekly rather than daily. This is in response to a significant decrease in cases and hospitalizations statewide. It will only be reported on Thursday; thus, OSAP will only report it on Thursdays, too.
