This Year's Meeting Details:

The 2020 meeting is March 21 – 22 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton. Below is what you should know to get ready for the meeting. We will regularly update the OSMA.org/AnnualMeeting website, so please be sure to visit the pages for resolutions and candidate information.

Resolutions

The deadline to submit resolutions for consideration at the meeting is today, Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Please submit all resolutions to resolutions@osma.org. You will receive a confirmation from us that your resolution has been received.

Open Leadership Positions

If you are interested in running for a leadership position, the open positions are detailed below. Please email Beth Hisem to submit all requested information.

President-Elect (1-year term)
Your letter of intent is due by the end of the day on Tuesday, January 21st.

Secretary-Treasurer (3-year term)
Please submit a personal statement (500 words or less), a current CV (3 pages or less) and a picture. You may submit your name until nominations are closed in the House of Delegates on Saturday, March 21, 2020. To be included in the printed meeting material you must submit your information no later than Monday, February 4, 2020.

Ohio Delegate to the American Medical Association
(Term: January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2022) 

Please submit a personal statement (500 words or less), a current CV (3 pages or less) and a picture. You may submit your name until nominations are closed in the House of Delegates on Saturday, March 21, 2020. To be included in the printed meeting material you must submit your information no later than Monday, February 4, 2020.

Ohio Alternate Delegate to the American Medical Association
(Term: January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2022) 

Please submit a personal statement (500 words or less), a current CV (3 pages or less) and a picture. You may submit your name until nominations are closed in the House of Delegates on Saturday, March 21, 2020. To be included in the printed meeting material you must submit your information no later than Monday, February 4, 2020.

 


Elections

With the approval of a Bylaws change at the 2019 OSMA Annual Meeting, some elections will be conducted differently than in past years.

At-Large Councilor Election:

This election will take place by statewide electronic ballot, all OSMA members are able to vote in this election. An email will be sent to all members that have paid their 2020 membership dues and have a unique email address on file in our database. The email will include instructions on how to vote, a link to Election Buddy to vote and your unique login/password information. If you do not have a usable email address on file but have paid your dues you will receive a paper ballot in the mail with instructions to submit your vote. We will be sending out paper ballots on March 2nd and email ballots on March 9th.


President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, Delegate and Alternate Delegate to the AMA:

These elections will take place during the House of Delegates meeting with only those registered and credentialed Delegates being able to cast a vote. These elections will be run through Election Buddy and sent to your smart device as we have done in the past few years.
