FUNDING FOR GUN POLICY RESEARCH

National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research

The National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research has issued a second request for proposals for nonpartisan, rigorous research on gun policy. Up to $9.5 million will be awarded to research projects, dissertation awards, and post-doctoral awards, including targeted funding for Missouri-relevant research. Letters of interest must be submitted by February 4, 2020.


The collaborative is driven by a compelling mission: Provide the public and policymakers a factual basis for developing fair and effective gun policies.

RESEARCH GRANTS
Researchers across disciplines are encouraged to submit letters of interest by February 4, 2020.

WHO WE ARE
The collaborative is funded by philanthropic donations. Established
with seed funding from Arnold Ventures, the collaborative is administered by the RAND Corporation under the direction of an independent Research Advisory Committee. The Research Advisory Committee is comprised of research experts and practitioners from across the nation, including representatives from law enforcement, government, community, education, health, the private sector, and academia.
