WakeMed Cardiologist: CPR is Best Chance of Surviving Cardiac Arrest
By: Maggie Alexander, NBC 17.com
A WakeMed doctor says 32 people die everyday in North Carolina of cardiac arrest, but that could change if more people were trained to do CPR.
"Every minute that passes without someone performing CPR, survival decreases by 10 percent or more," said Dr. George Hamrick a cardiologist at WakeMed.
WakeMed is holding CPR classes for the community during heart awareness month.
