June Daugherty Public Spirit Award
Named in honor of Washington State University women’s basketball coach June Daugherty, who is an SCA survivor, the June Daugherty Public Spirit Award recognizes and individual or an organization which uses its public position and visibility to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest/cardiovascular disease.
Requirements:
- Individual or organization
- External candidate (SCAA chapter leaders or members not considered)
- Focus on SCA awareness (preferably); other focus areas can include cardiovascular health, PAD programs, etc.

Medical Leadership Award
Public or private medical institution or program directly addressing SCA with strategic tactics to increase survivability of SCA for which actual results can be measured; not an individual

Public Leadership Award
Government figure (senator, representative, state senator, state representative, mayor, city council member, governor, head of federal/state/local government agency, etc.) with an interest in SCA followed by demonstrative action and commitment to the cause, whether in the form of establishing a task force or sponsoring legislation (just a few options). In other words, recipient of this award must have attempted to make some type of progress addressing SCA simply beyond words in a speech.

Public Service Award

Cannot be a corporate funder (or funder subsidiary) of SCAA or a cardiovascular device maker
