Each year, approximately 2,500 cases of financial elder abuse are reported just in the San Francisco area alone. This is a serious and silent crime that needs to be addressed. Do you know that your financial institution may be required by law to report any “suspected” cases of elder abuse? This session will discuss common scams that affect the elderly, the psychology behind these scams and ways your financial institutions can identify and help prevent these scams from occurring.
