Registration is now open for Rendezvous 2024 - GLO: The Prairie Years

Register today for Surveyors Rendezvous 2024! The Surveyors Historical Society event is September 18-21 at the Hotel Julien in Dubuque, IA.  

Highlights of Rendezvous 2024 include:

  • Welcome Reception and Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday
  • Education sessions on Thursday and Friday (up to 9.5 PDHs)
  • A trip to the Field of Dreams movie site to run the bases, have a catch, and participate in the measuring competition on the field
  • Show & Tell or Buy & Sell Swap Meet
  • Annual Banquet on Friday evening featuring the raffle and auction which benefits the SHS Special Projects Fund
  • Spouse/Guest Program featuring tours of Dubuque and Galena, IL
  • Optional Saturday outing to the Mississippi River Museum and a river lunch cruise

Hotel & Airport Information

Hotel Julien

  • The Rendezvous room rate is $139 (single/double) per night plus tax. Parking is complimentary.
  • To reserve your room, call the Hotel Julien directly at 800-798-7098 or 563-556-4200 and mention Surveyors Historical Society. A valid credit card is required at the time of booking.
  • The Rendezvous rate is valid until August 11, 2024 or until the room block sells out.


There are two regional airports less than 100 miles from Dubuque: Quad City International Airport (MLI) and Cedar Rapids (CID). Both are approximately a 90-minute drive to Dubuque. There is no public transportation to Dubuque from either airport.
