Your prayers for Pr. Dave Shugert are greatly appreciated as he waits for a bone marrow transplant.
Pr. Shugert is in the OSU James Cancer Hospital in Columbus and was diagnosed with leukemia in addition to the pre-existing myelodisplasia. He was scheduled to receive a blood marrow transplant the week of February 6, but must now wait a month, in the hospital, while he receives transfusions to prepare his body for the blood marrow tranplant.
Mrs. Jean Shugert wrote in a letter to friends and family, "While we were sad to learn his cancer has progressed, we remain pleased with his medical care, blessed by support of loving family and friends, and hopeful that the next month will bring results that will allow Dave to move toward the transplant."
Please pray that God will prepare Dave's body for the transplant and that he will be healed.
