Wow, hard to believe but I am soon to be wrapping up my 5th year in the Synod Office.
I have traveled this year to many congregations, attended and led a bunch of retreats/advances and service experiences. I have talked to scores of folks on the phone and Lord only knows how many emails and facebook postings have gone back and forth.....
So, as December 31st draws near let's start this edition by asking the annual December question....
Is there anything I have promised any of you in the last year that I have not followed through with? If so, please do not hesitate to contact me and remind me. I am pretty good at follow up; however, we all know how hard it is in ministry positions to remember everything one promises to do for everyone.
I am here to serve.....Thanks Folks!
Gary
Just an FYI that in addition to the Synod Youthworks trip July 21 to 26, 2013, there are a couple of other Southern Ohio Synod Congregations also heading to Charleston, WV the week of June 16-21, 2013. Last checked there were a few spots remaining.
Contact Gary if you have an interest in jumping in on the trip.
Contact Gary if you are interested in the training events and he will place those training events on the calendar. Gary can lead the sessions as prescibed by the ELCA or he can tailor a training event specifically for your adult leaders.
A bunch of youth ministry type folks have decided to read the book "Almost Christian." The group had their first discussion of the book on line last Tuesday. Interested in joining the discussion? Tuesdays at 2:30pm.
