Office Administrator/Facilities Manager

First English Lutheran Church

General Statement of Position: To maintain a welcoming atmosphere of hospitality and an effective, efficient and well organized office environment as well as ensure a safe clean functioning building

Reports to Pastor

Examples of Responsibilities:
Maintain regular office schedule to ensure that visitors are screened, greeted and appropriately directed; phone/voice messages are answered, logged and communicated; mail is received and distributed; files and records are maintained; supplies ordered and picked up; office equipment is operative; service deliveries are received; vendors are logged in; correspondence is current.

Provide administrative support for the Pastor by maintaining the Pastor’s calendar with computer back up and print out of a weekly schedule; maintaining office computer/phone directory; preparing minutes, notes, correspondence; making travel arrangements; scheduling, coordinating off site meetings and setting up for onsite meetings requested by the Pastor.

Produce the weekly worship bulletin and inserts (First to Last ) in a timely manner; deposit checks; coordinate petty cash and financial record keeping with bookkeeper.

Support the Leadership Team, tenants, small groups, church partners, special projects by filing mail, setting up for meetings, coordinating communication, providing keys etc. as needed.

Upon entering each morning and before leaving each evening, secure the building, locking doors, turning off lights/fans, turning off heat/air conditioning.

Oversee janitorial service with emphasis on cleanliness and order; monitor and order janitorial supplies; arrange for routine maintenance& repairs; respond to building & rental requests

Other duties as assigned.

Regular - consistent every week, but negotiable at time of hiring

Part Time: 25 - 30 hours
$12 per hour
