Register now for Lay School of Theology's two Fall 2017 courses--Don't miss out!

The Lay School has expanded to two campus Chillicothe and Dayton.

The courses present an opportunity for students to enrich the fabric of their faith life and to gain more understanding of how God has been, and is still, at work in the lives of people of every age through his Word.

Qualified instructors teach courses that are geared for both the person-in-the-pew and for people already in the position of Lay Worship Leader.

The 2017 Fall courses offered are:

This is Most Certainly True: Experiencing Martin Luther’s Small Catechism for Today is being offered at the Chillicothe campus at Calvary Lutheran Church, Chillicothe.  Instructor – The Rev. Suzanne Darcy-Dillahunt, Bishop of the Southern Ohio Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

This course is being offered for a second time but at our more central location because of an overwhelming demand by those in the central and eastern part of our territory. Register soon as space is limited!

Being the Church: Living Jesus’ Mission is being offered at the Dayton campus at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering.

Instructor – The Rev. Ed Williams, retired Director of Evangelical Mission for the Southern Ohio Synod.

A separate registration form for each course can be downloaded.  Detailed information of the place, class dates and times can be found on the flyers.

Nancy Hoffman is registrar for both courses.  When sending your registration, please check to be sure you are sending the one for the course you want to attend. Please make your check or money order payable to Southern Ohio Synod.
