Details for the 2018 Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Programs are now available

In the 2018 Lilly Endowment National Clergy Renewal Program and the 2018 Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Program for Indiana Congregations, eligible congregations will be able to apply for grants of up to $50,000 each to support a renewal program for their pastor.

The Rev. Pedro Suarez elected bishop of the ELCA Florida-Bahamas Synod

The Rev. Pedro Manuel Suarez, Pompano Beach, Fla., was elected Oct. 13 to a six-year term as bishop of the Florida-Bahamas Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The election was held during the Synod Assembly Oct. 12-14.

The West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod's social ministry agency, Community Lutheran Partners (CLP), has been integral in organizing long-term disaster recovery efforts in West Virginia in wake of the devastating summer flooding that occurred in 2016 and 2017. Please consider serving our neighbors to the south.

Christian Unity Gathering 2017, sponsored by the National Council of Churches, accepting registrations now!

Christian Unity Gathering 2017 will take place November 8-10, 2017 at the Sheraton in downtown Silver Spring, MD, just outside Washington, DC. This will be an important time to regroup, recharge, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead.
