Register today for the All Ohio Hunger Leaders Day April 21 at All Shepherds, Lewis Center

Theme is 'Until All Are Fed' with keynote speaker, Dr. Ryan P. Cumming, Program Director for Hunger Education, ELCA World Hunger.

Bishop Dillahunt encourages you to attend the A.C.T. to End Racism Rally on April 4 in Washington D.C.

The National Council of Churches (NCC) rally to end racism will be held April 4 on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The A.C.T. to End Racism Rally is the starting point of a multi-year effort, launched by NCC, to remove racism from the nation's social fabric and bring the country together.

The books you donate will be distributed at community book fairs, camps and other events around the city as part of the Gathering's Service Learning experience. By putting books in the hands of Houston's economically disadvantaged students, you can help change lives.

God's Call Changes Everything #ELCAYG2018

For the next two months, the ELCA Youth Gathering team will be asking for your youth's reflections and stories to share on the big screen at the Gathering. Every two weeks they'll have a new prompt to reflect on. Submit your videos on Instagram by using the assigned # or DMing the Gathering (@ELCAGathering). Please save the videos! If yours is chosen, we will DM you with instructions on how and where to send your video.

Guidelines:

  • Youth featured must be in 8th-12th grade.
  • Videos should be 3-10 seconds long.
  • Post in the identified timeline
  • Use listed #s.

The Campaign for the ELCA enters final year with $144 million – 73 percent of goal – raised

Entering its fifth scheduled year, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (ELCA) first comprehensive campaign, Always Being Made New: The Campaign for the ELCA, is celebrating $144 million in cash gifts and gift commitments, representing 73 percent of the five-year, $198 million goal by Jan. 31, 2019. In addition, $30.5 million in planned gifts is committed to the ministries of the campaign.

Nelson W. Trout Lectures April 26-27

The Rev. Eboni Marshall Turman, Ph.D., assistant professor of theology and African American religion at Yale University Divinity School, will be the featured speaker for the annual Nelson W. Trout Lectures on April 26 and 27. 2018.
