A note to the synod regarding personnel changes in Bishop's office

Stronger and better together: Joining Jesus in the restoration of the world!

Dear Partners in Ministry, 

Grace and peace to you!

On December 31 of this year, the Rev. Jeff Wick will step down as Assistant to the Bishop. He will continue to serve our synod, as he feels called, and will be joining the retired roster of the ELCA.

A plan to redistribute Pr. Wick’s responsibilities for mobility and candidacy is in process. Pr. Bob Abrams will be taking over as lead on mobility and has already been working with Pr. Wick on this part of the transition. An interim Candidacy Director will be appointed by December. Rest assured, all congregations, rostered ministers and candidates in the transition process will be well taken care of.

Please join me in thanking Pr. Wick for his many years of service to this synod and to the Church. We are pleased and blessed to have him remain in our synod to share his many gifts.
