Seeds for the Parish to be discontinued in January 2019

The following note is from the ELCA churchwide organization regarding the discontinuation of Seeds for the Parish.

Friends,

Seeds for the Parish has been the resource newspaper for ELCA Congregations for many, many years. Each issue contains articles that provide congregational leaders with insights, ideas and tools to assist them in a variety of ministries including worship, Christian education, stewardship, evangelism, youth ministries, social ministries, leadership and more.

In 2016, we designed and launched Seeds Monthly, a monthly e-newsletter that goes out on the third Thursday of each month, complementing the quarterly newspaper. This e-newsletter has given us a vehicle to provide additional content in a timelier, more efficient manner. The email has performed beyond our expectations and its audience continues to grow.

As we continue to develop content and plan for a sustainable way to share the stories and resources of our church into the future, we have determined that it is time to say goodbye to Seeds for the Parish. The final issue is planned for January 2019. We give thanks for the faithful work of everyone involved in creating a resource that has lifted up the ministries and stories of this church for so many years. Thanks also to those of you who have been good partners in sending content ideas.
