Thrive! E-blast for 10.15.19: Online registration for training events now available!

Advance Registration for Training Events Needed

The Thrive! Campaign is designed to help congregations, and their lay and rostered leaders, thrive in their ministries and grow the Church. It will start with training of Congregation Leaders -- the people you appoint to lead your campaigns –– being held at 5 different locations on 2 dates in November, as shown below.

Congregation Leaders need to be registered in advance for their chosen training event. That is because not only will campaign training be provided, but Campaign Manuals, brochures, bulletin inserts, and other printed Thrive! materials will be distributed at those events, and we need to know who is coming to which events in order to have enough material available for each congregation.

Please act now to register your Leaders for their preferred training event! You may now register online by using the new Online Congregation Leader Registration Form. Or if you prefer, download and complete this Congregation Leader Appointment Form, and either email it to Thrive@SouthernOhioSynod.org or mail a copy to the Synod office.

7:00-8:30          Synod Office, 300 S. Second Street, Columbus

November 17, 2019

2:00-3:30          St. John’s, 116 North 7^th Street, Zanesville

5:00-6:30          First English, 220 North Columbus Street, Lancaster

Stewardship Team members, pastors and deacons are welcomed and encouraged to attend, also. Just please let us know you are coming.

If none of your Congregation Leaders are able to attend any of these scheduled training sessions, then please contact Pastor Larry Donner, the Thrive! Campaign Manager, Thrive@SouthernOhioSynod.org , immediately so we may make alternate training arrangements.

What Does It Take to Run a Thrive Campaign?

My church was an "early adopter." We completed our campaign in September and I can honestly say: it did not encompass a whole lot of my time; the program blueprint was clear and easy to follow; and our congregation had a positive reaction to the appeal and an appreciation for the synod's efforts to make our congregations more vibrant.
