Thank you! Thrive eBlast for 5.26.20

Thank You!

As ministries of congregations and the synod continue, even while we keep learning how to live with COVID-19, I wish to offer my most heartfelt thanks to those who, providentially, were able to make donations to Thrive! early in the campaign. Now, while the campaign is suspended until it is again safe and prudent to move forward, those early donations are enabling us to provide ongoing support to churches and their leaders in keeping with Thrive!’s goals.

Many thanks to the dozens of individuals who have given graciously, and even sacrificially, to Thrive! as part of their congregations’ campaigns or as special gifts.

Special thanks to “early adopter” congregations, St. Luke’s, Marietta (Pastor Steve Mahaffey) and Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Cincinnati (Pastor Henry Zorn), for holding campaigns early in 2019 that led the way and helped us improve campaign procedures.

Thanks to the four congregations that demonstrated such abundant generosity and hope as they ran campaigns at the beginning of the launch: Emmanuel, Germantown (Pastor Bonny Kinnunen); St. Jacob’s, Anna (Pastor David Eidson); Trinity, Brookville (Pastor Ali Rode); and, Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Oakwood (Pastor Stefan Rickman).

Additionally, many thanks to the several congregations that made gifts outside of running Thrive! campaigns, including: St. John, Vandalia (Pastor Gil Santiago); Trinity, Marysville (Pastors Barry Scott & Elizabeth Clothier); Prince of Peace, Loveland (Pastors Jonathan Eilert & Lorne Hlad); First, Cincinnati (Pastor Brian Ferguson); Faith, Mt. Vernon (Pastor Mark Wildermuth); and, First, Xenia (Pastor William Schwochow).

Your commitment and generosity are inspiring, and help us truly be ‘Stronger and Better Together.’

In gratitude and peace,

Pastor Larry Donner
