This year it's about more than happy hour...

Abundance in a world that focuses on Scarcity is the working title for the All Ohio Rostered Ministers Event this coming week.  We know that the usual highlight of the annual rostered minister event is time with colleagues (sometimes over happy hour). This year, we have pulled together a program that helps meet the need of creating a culture for abundance thinking in the midst of scarcity thinking and much noise that causes our messages to not be heard.  Many of you will be surprised at how little we will talk about money and focus much more on telling people what God is up to in our lives.

January 26—Storytelling to set the stage for generosity—We aren’t hardly talking about money in the first day, but instead we are talking about what God is up to.

January 27—Input from a real live church donor and leading people to generosity.

January 28—Highly interactive opportunity to explore best practices for implementing abundance thinking in your congregation.

Presenter Mike Ward is well aware that attention spans on Zoom are fading fast. A combination of recorded interviews, animated video, slides, polls and breakout sessions will be used.

Each session starts at 9 am, wrapping up at noon. Don't miss out on this opportunity to increase generosity in your congregation without making it all about money.

No communion because of the Pandemic. No vote for congregation members?

The ELCA Office of the Secretary added an important answer to this new question about the requirement for congregation members to have participated in communion within the last year. Special circumstances call for special rules.
