The 'Big Idea' Has a Name...SynodFest 2012!

Bishop Holloway announced in his April letter to congregations and rostered leaders the approval of a new concept that would combine assembly with a "county fair" feel. He also announced at the 2011 Southern Ohio Synod Assembly that the "Big Idea" would combine fellowship, worship, education, and fun with a much shortened assembly schedule.

That "Big Idea" is now SynodFest 2012!

Work has already begun on this exciting new event that will be open to everyone in our synod, not just rostered leaders and voting members. SynodFest 2012 will be held in the Cincinnati area and offer families, couples, singles, the young, and young-at-heart an opportunity to meet, share and grow with others in our synod while serving, learning, worshiping and celebrating side-by-side at a variety of events offered over several days.

SynodFest 2012 will begin on June 6 with a special Rostered Leaders Conference, which will wrap up on Friday, June 8 when activities open to the entire synod will commence. We will wrap up SynodFest 2012 on Sunday, June 10.

Committees are being formed to plan specific portions of SynodFest 2012. Details regarding the event will be shared in the coming months.
