Citizen's Tour Rocks Fairborn and Raises $500 for World Hunger!

October 22, 2011 was no ordinary Saturday at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church in Fairborn, Ohio. Crowds of young people and their adult leaders descended on the building to hear Dave Scherer and Rachel Kurtz perform as part of the Citizen's Tour sponsored by the ELCA National Youth Gathering.

Attendees rocked out to the youth-oriented music and raised $500 to go to the ELCA World Hunger fund. See photos on Facebook.

Thanks to Abiding Christ, Fairborn, Good Shepherd, Cincinnati, and Peace, Beavercreek for covering the cost of the event so that all of the proceeds could be directed to those in need around the globe.

Dave Sherer and Rachel Kurtz will be performing at the ELCA National Youth Gathering, which is being held in New Orleans, July 18-22, 2012. Registration is now open for this event.
