Volunteers and Donations Needed for Tornado Clean Up in Alabama

Tornados struck Jefferson County Alabama on January 23, 2012, killing 20 people and injuring at least 100 people.

Since April 27, 2011, Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) Ohio has provided support to the Alabama Lutheran congregations in the Jefferson Co/Cullman/Gardendale/Tuscaloosa areas. The LDR Ohio shower trailer is currently in Gardendale, AL, Jefferson Co.

Long term recovery volunteers are scheduled for Cullman. The immediate need is volunteers for debris removal. Monetary donations are also needed to help send volunteer teams and emergency supplies.
