New Central Ohio Conference Assignments for Assistants to the Bishop
As announced earlier this month, the Assistant to the Bishop position responsible for relating to the Central Ohio Conference has been eliminated due to a lack of funding.
The remaining Assistants to the Bishop, The Rev. Suzanne Darcy Dillahunt, The Rev. Jeff Wick and The Rev. Ed Williams, will share responsibility for relating to the Central Ohio Conference as outlined below. The conference has been divided based on existing missional relationships, as with the Urban and New Missions congregations, and geography.
Each Assistant to the Bishop will be in contact with their newly assigned congregations to introduce themselves and get to know the pastor(s), staff, and council. As each Assistant to the Bishop will continue with his or her current responsibilities for the other Southern Ohio Synod Conferences, face-to-face meetings will be scheduled as quickly as possible. Congregations currently in the call process will work with their new Assistant to the Bishop as the process moves forward. Please feel free to contact the Assistant to the Bishop assigned to your congregation if you have questions or concerns that he or she may be able to address or to set up a time to meet with your congregational council.
