From Grumbling to Gratitude: Helping Children & Youth Grow a Heart of Thankfulness

Major studies on the importance of gratitude have recently been completed. The results are in. An intentional practice of gratitude increases physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. This session will identify the benefits of gratitude and offer suggestions on how to help young people develop an attitude of gratitude.

Gary Pecuch has been the Director of Youth & Family Ministry for the Southern Ohio Synod since 2008.  He has also been the Director of Youth Ministry at St. John’s Lutheran in Grove City since 1982.

 

 

Created Uniquely, Loved Uniquely: How to Speak the Love Languages of Your Children and Youth

Of the countless ways we can show love to one another, five key categories, or five love languages, prove to be universal and comprehensive—everyone has a love language, and we all identify primarily with one of the five love languages: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch.  This session will explore the basics of love languages, how to identify the love language of your children, and gain an understanding of its benefits.
