SOS Looking for People Trained in CISM for New Ministry

The Southern Ohio Synod Disaster Response and Mental Wellness and Recovery Task Forces are working together to support a new ministry in our synod called the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) ministry.

CISM is a comprehensive, integrative, multicomponent crisis intervention system because it consists of multiple crisis intervention components, which functionally span the entire temporal spectrum of crisis. 

Why do we want to start such a ministry? As crises and disasters become epidemic, the need for effective crisis response capabilities increases. CISM represents a powerful, yet cost-effective approach to crisis response.
