Competition - "Portraits in the Style of” (See Info)
Midwest Photo
Please note that the judges will be expecting portraits of people for this theme, not landscapes, animals, or birds.
When naming your images, plan to include “In the style of ________” in the title. There was also mention during the presentation of including a reference image on the back of the print you submit of the photographer’s image who you are emulating the style of. (I have concerns of printing someone’s work. Not sure how this fits in with Copyright laws.) We may need to think about this and come up with a better solution before April.
For digital submissions. You will need to submit 2 images. The first will be your image and the second will be the image you are emulating the style of. Use the following naming to keep your image and the reference image next to each other in Zenfolio. Again we may need to think about this and come up with a better solution before April.
Digital naming example:
123456_Your Title in the style of Rembrandt
123456_Your Title in the style of Rembrandt Reference
