Kris KrattTrends. Whether you are a business owner, consultant, marketer, buyer or floral designer, understanding what influences and motivates your existing and future customer is vital when creating commercially successful designs, marketing strategies and in-store and web-based merchandising. Trends tell the story in many different ways.

My invitation to speak on industry trends at the WF&FSA 2017 Floral Distribution Conference was a fantastic opportunity to share a “trenducational” experience with the membership featuring not only color, flowers and hard goods, but also other major influencers that are currently impacting our industry.

Trends are continually emerging from countless areas that affect the wants of the American consumer. Colors, materials and patterns in the worlds of Fashion, Paint, Home Décor, Technology and many other worldwide industries are examined to see what inspires consumers to make their purchases. One way forecasters keep track of all the content we see and organize daily, is the creation of moodboards, inspiration photos and of course Pinterest boards.

I wanted the WF&FSA membership to share access to my Pinterest boards that are linked to 4 emerging trends to follow for 2018. They show multiple influences from fashion, art, home decor, accessories and of course flowers. The boards are a wonderful way to stay connected to these trends as they evolve seasonally throughout the rest of 2017 and into 2018.  Click on the images below to see the trends.
