Luis Martin De German Ribon has made significant contributions to the floral industry, serving in a variety of professional capacities. Luis has been with Flores La Conchita group since 1970, when he began as a sales assistant for exports. By 1981, he had become a shareholder and the general manager for Flores la Conchita, responsible for production, marketing, finances and planning. In addition to his duties there, Luis also has served on the Asocolflores Board of Directors, the Agrosoledad Board of the Directors, and as a municipal elected counselor in Bojacá, a small town close to the farms.
Luis was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where he still lives today with his wife. Luis is of Colombian and Swiss decent and speaks four different languages. Together with his wife, they have three grown children. Luis has continued his academic pursuits over the years and has studied economics, human resources, finance and management at four universities in Colombia. Outside of the floral industry, Luis enjoys photography, traveling, scuba diving, horse riding and golf.
