Rhetoric Society of America - Message from the President

As we emerge from a long and rancorous national election season, it seems appropriate to reaffirm that the Rhetoric Society of America stands for diversity, inclusion, and respect for all.  Above all, we value the ongoing project of listening to each other in our diversity and engaging our differences with mutual respect whether among our members, those who participate in our programs, or those who work with us in documenting and analyzing rhetoric.  At a time when political rhetoric has been so divisive, it is important for us to come together around the values we share as a society with a scholarly mission to advance responsible discourse.
