Professional Engineering Services are considered essential in this order under Essential Infrastructure (9) and Professional Services (12)(u). With that in mind, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Turnpike Commission and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission continue to operate business as usual with their capital program. The County Commissioners Association has indicated that new projects may be put on hold, but current contracts will continue. Much will depend on your clients at this time, stay in communication with them.
Following the lead of other states, Mr. DeWine said the order signed by Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton, Click Here for Order would go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday through April 6 and require citizens to remain in their homes with certain exceptions. Essential Infrastructure, Government Services and Professional Services are outlined in the order.
Mr. DeWine said those will include mandated protocols to protect the public health, such as social distancing of at least 6 feet, washing hands and availability of sanitizing and cleansing supplies for customers and workers.
