The Chronicle has launched a tool to track Anti-DEI legislation and how it affects colleges and universities. You can sign up to receive email alerts when new legislation is introduced or new institutional policies are announced.
The Chronicle also has recently released a special report, “Overcoming Student Loneliness.” An essay about how to care for students’ mental health without overburdening yourself has been taken from the full report and is available to read on their website. The essay describes how to create a classroom inclusive of mental health struggles, which allows students to air concerns in class and potentially stop students from needing to share stories with you individually, as well as foster a supportive community amongst your students.
The Region 2 Public Health Training Center has introduced several new modules, covering topics such as cultural humility, climate change and flooding, and how to teach about the commercial determinants of health.
