The Nominations Committee of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE) plays a crucial role in identifying and encouraging members to step into leadership positions within the organization. This committee ensures that ACHNE continues to be guided by dedicated and capable leaders who are committed to advancing community and public health nursing education, practice, and scholarship.
Members can get involved by actively participating in ACHNE activities, networking through the quarterly newsletter and membership directory, and attending the annual Spring Institute. The Annual Institute aims to provide a scholarly and supportive community for those committed to excellence and innovation in community/public/population health nursing education, research, and practice.
After two years of involvement, members are encouraged to prepare for leadership roles by engaging with the Nominations Committee, expressing their interest in serving, and demonstrating their commitment to ACHNE's mission and goals. By stepping up, members can contribute to fostering collaboration, advocating for the profession, strengthening leadership, and promoting mentorship within the community/public health nursing field. This involvement not only enhances their professional growth but also helps build healthier communities and advance health equity.
Next year, the available leadership positions will include President-Elect, Treasurer, International Member-at-Large (MAL), Southern MAL, Western MAL, and 2 positions in the Nominating Committee
Thank you for your continued commitment to ACHNE!
