The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment has a long history of use in career choice and career development. In this session Rich Thompson, Senior Director of Research at CPP, Inc. will provide a brief overview of the MBTI instrument, specifically covering what it is and what it measures. He will also discuss using MBTI personality type information in relation to career development and career identification, focusing on how type can inform where a person might work, as well as how particular types tend to cluster into specific occupations. Finally, Rich will provide examples of application of the MBTI in educational and career contexts.
