Join Dr. Osama Said for a 1-hr COPE approved course titled "Get to Know: Amniotic Membranes. Practical Applications of Amniotic Membranes". This lecture provides an in-depth introduction to amniotic membranes and their role in eye care. A graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics, Dr Said earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He is licensed to practice optometry in North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and Florida. As owner and CEO of Triangle Eye Institute, Dr Said was the first optometrist in the state of North Carolina to hire a full time ophthalmologist. In 2014, he oversaw the successful merger of his 5-location OD/MD practice with MyEyeDr.
Currently, he serves as the Director of Externships and Residencies in the Department of Clinical Excellence where he oversees approximately 80 OD’s and 160 students annually.
He also serves as adjunct faculty member at the New England College of Optometry, University of Pikeville, Illinois College of Optometry, Midwestern University and Salus University. He is the only Optometrist to be awarded the prestigious title of Preceptor of the Year from two diYerent universities.
Currently, Dr Said enjoys splitting time between patient care, consultation and lecturing. A renowned speaker, Dr. Said has been a featured guest speaker both nationally and internationally. Having a career that spans from National vision, private practice, Essilor Lux, Private equity and everything in between, he is able to connect to a variety of audiences and understands their challenges.
He resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife, also an optometrist, and his 3 daughters. When he is not traveling with his family, Dr Said enjoys fishing, diving, chess, and all outdoor sports.
