MAJ Marcelo Moya is the Chief of Ancillary Services at JBER SCMH, as well as serves as the Army Optometrist for JBER. He completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry with a focus on cornea and medical contact lens at University of Incarnate Word while concurrently graduating from the University of Incarnate Word with a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA). MAJ Moya earned his Doctorate in Optometry with Honors from Nova Southeastern University and was selected as the Federal Services Junior Optometrist of the Year for 2023 by the Armed Forces Optometric Society. He competed and was selected as Runner Up in Best Medic Competition MRC-P. He has attended Health Services Plans, Operations, Intelligence, Security and Training (70H) course, completed Intermediate Level Education, Cold Weather Orientation Course, Air Assault, EFMB, Airborne, Joint Medical Operations Course, and is currently working towards completing a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
