The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced the 2017 asset-size exemption thresholds for depository institutions under HMDA and for creditors under the Regulation Z mortgage regulations. The HMDA exemption threshold will remain at $44 million, while the exemption threshold for Reg Z mortgage requirements will increase slightly to $2.069 billion. The new thresholds take effect Jan. 1, 2017.
