ATLANTA, Oct. 18 – Association for Financial Technology (AFT), a national association devoted to the advancement of fintech companies and a broader U.S. financial industry through technology, today announced that Steve DuPerrieu has been named president. DuPerrieu is vice president of channels and analytics, of Paducah, Ky.-based Computer Services, Inc. (CSI).

Additionally, Peter Glyman, co-founder of Geezeo; Kara Parkey, director of strategic alliances of Built; and Terry Ammons, partner of Porter Keadle Moore (PKM), were elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors. AFT has 116 member companies and organizations, representing financial technology firms of all sizes, data providers, processors and service organizations.

“For companies that sell technology, data and/or services to the financial industry, this is the most dynamic time we have ever seen,” said Zach Duke, president of Finosec and AFT’s immediate past president. “AFT helps members through outstanding education, and more importantly, provides a forum for understanding how our solutions can help financial institutions improve customer experiences and remain competitive. Steve will do an outstanding job as president of AFT, and he understands that we need to drive industry conversations and innovation.”

This year, AFT formed its Digital Experience Group, a Special Interest Group (SIG), to explore advancements, discuss best practices and develop research into how financial institutions can better use mobile and online technologies to connect with customers and improve their financial wellness.

“The Digital Experience Group is an important initiative for AFT and its members to have pointed focus on a particular area of our industry,” DuPerrieu said. “As the financial technology industry has matured, our members are focused on many different areas, especially the digital experience. AFT’s purpose is to provide opportunities to share ideas and information for the betterment of the financial industry, and we look forward to having more groups like the Digital Experience Group to create additional engagement and value for our members.”

AFT’s board also includes: Sara Scott, manager of alliance programs, Wolters Kluwer; Brian Otte, director of sales, ProfitStars; Jonathan Nordhausen, vice president of product strategy, Fiserv; Mike Alles, senior vice president of sales, FIS; Jeff Harper, director of strategic sales, Velocity; and Cara Hayward, director, CBANC Network, Inc.

AFT’s next summit will be March 10-12, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona. For more information, please visit www.aftweb.com.
