Fairfield County Bank Selects COCC for Integrated Technology Service

Avon, Conn., Jan. 30, 2014 – Fairfield County Bank has selected COCC for a long term technology partnership to facilitate growth and positive change. COCC’s integrated technology, expert support and partnership structure will help the bank deliver the advanced services and customer support that will yield greater success in the years ahead.

“COCC’s open, integrated technology will enable our staff to focus on the customer rather than the system,” said Frank Kunst, Executive Vice President – Technology at Fairfield County Bank. ”Beyond COCC’s advanced technology, we will gain a partner committed to engaging at every level to help us achieve our strategic objectives. With COCC, we are confident that we will improve our customer experiences while increasing our operational efficiencies.”

Fairfield County Bank has served the residents and businesses of Fairfield County Connecticut since 1871. The bank has grown by 132% since 2003 and now manages $1.5 billion in assets. The bank ended 2013 on a strong note with positive earnings and all capital asset ratios above 10%.

The bank’s technology partnership with COCC will spur initiatives to reduce paperwork, improve access to loan information across multiple product lines, and to integrate its eBanking features. Advanced integration available through COCC will also help the bank combat cyber attacks through bank-wide awareness of potential fraud, rapid mitigation and extensive preventative measures.

Kunst was especially pleased with COCC’s core processing ‘apps’ which the bank can install at any time to enhance system functionality. He noted COCC’s strategy of buying software licenses for the most valuable apps so that all customers can benefit from the technology.

“It’s refreshing to find an organization whose values match ours so closely,” said Kunst. “COCC’s cooperative ownership model ensures that the service stays local and focused on bank needs. We certainly appreciated the feedback from current customers who confirmed during site visits and independent calls that COCC delivers what they promise.”

While preparations are just beginning for the bank’s conversion in April, 2015, Kunst said that COCC has already offered a helping hand with the bank’s virtual technology and security.

“Service is the reason that COCC exists,” said Richard A. Leone, COCC’s President and CEO. “Our focus on customer needs has consistently directed us to the right technology solutions and the right support structure. From our integrated core technology to our new iBanking online banking platform, to our core processing ‘apps,’ we have the state-of-the-art features and flexibility that will deliver real competitive advantages to Fairfield County Bank. We are very pleased with the bank’s decision to partner with us and we look forward to growing with them in the years ahead.”
