Springfield State Bank Enhances IT Performance, Security with CSI’s Managed Services

PADUCAH, Ky., Feb. 26, 2014 — In order to enhance its IT strategy and improve overall efficiency, Springfield, Ky.-based Springfield State Bank has selected Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of end-to-end technology solutions that empower financial institutions to remain competitive, compliant and profitable, to deliver a robust mix of managed IT services for its internal servers, phone systems and network equipment.

CSI’s managed services enable financial institutions to maximize their IT investment while also removing the stress of maintaining internal systems, which allows them greater focus on more strategic business initiatives. While Springfield State Bank had worked with CSI previously and was familiar with its robust financial solutions, bank executives were first introduced to CSI’s managed services offerings during the company’s annual Customer Conference, and saw an opportunity to significantly improve their existing IT strategy.

“As a community financial institution, our expertise is in banking. However, in order to remain competitive and provide our customers with the greatest level of banking functionality possible, we’ve had to embrace new forms of technology,” said Christy L. Carpenter, executive vice president and chief technology officer for Springfield State Bank. “After meeting the CSI Managed Services team at CSI’s Customer Conference, I knew right away their bank IT solutions and expertise would allow us to leverage our technology offerings to the fullest extent.”

Springfield State Bank has selected multiple managed services offerings from CSI, including Performance Managed Plus, Security Managed Plus, Voice System Management and Managed Patching. Combined, these solutions ensure round-the-clock monitoring and maintenance of the bank’s entire network for optimum performance and security.

“We have an internal IT team comprising three members, and the broad scope of technology requires such specialized focus and expertise that we realized the value in relying on bank IT outsourcing,” Carpenter said. “The level of knowledge and constant attention we receive from CSI provides us with additional resources far beyond what we could add internally.

CSI’s cloud-based managed services enable financial institutions to access on-demand technology and bank IT services without the need to invest in expensive hardware and added staff. By leveraging the offerings of CSI Managed Services, Springfield State Bank will not only increase the availability and responsiveness of its IT systems, but also better allocate its employees and resources to focus on more strategic needs within the bank.

“In order to maintain the highest level of trust and value among the financial institutions we serve, CSI consistently invests in new innovation to supplement the decades of industry experience we build into each of our solutions and services,” said Steve Powless, chief executive officer of CSI. “As IT consumption continues to increase within financial institutions, our managed services team remains dedicated to providing financial institutions, like Springfield State Bank, with a vital mixture of service and support to ensure their business and customers reap the growing benefits technology can offer.”
