Dayton, OH – The Academy of Hospitality Industry Attorneys (AHIA) is pleased to announce its 2025 Board of Directors and the approval of bylaw amendments.
2025 Board of Directors
“We are excited to welcome our new and returning board members,” said Roxy West, CAE, Executive Director of AHIA. “Their expertise and dedication will be instrumental in guiding AHIA’s future and serving our members.”
Bylaw Changes
AHIA members voted to approve two bylaw changes:
New Membership Class: Emerging Leaders To attract and engage the next generation of hospitality industry attorneys, AHIA has introduced a new membership category: Emerging Leaders. This category is designed for attorneys with a growing focus on hospitality law who may not yet meet the requirements for full membership.
Board of Directors Authority to Remove a Director To ensure the effective functioning of the Board of Directors, a new provision has been added to the bylaws authorizing the Board to remove a Director who is not in good standing, has failed to attend a sufficient number of meetings or has otherwise negatively impacted the Board’s ability to conduct business.
“These bylaw changes reflect AHIA’s commitment to evolving with the industry and ensuring the highest standards of governance,” said Roxy.
