Public Health Emergency Preparedness Planner
Fulton County Health Department
Fulton County Health Department is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Planner/Coordinator. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate preparation, planning and training of public health resources and personnel responding during an emergency
- Actively participate in real-world public health emergency response as a planner or other position as directed by Incident Commander.
- Attend training to assure knowledge of Incident Command System and public health emergency response and facilitate staff knowledge of ICS structure and emergency
- Completion of Emergency Planner responsibilities as required by the Public Health Emergency Planning grant or related
- Review, update, and maintain the Fulton County Health Department Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and its
- Attend Public Health Emergency Planning meetings at local, regional, and state
- Facilitate the FCHD Public Health Emergency Preparedness Team and Fulton County Healthcare
- Assure response equipment and supplies are readily available for use and stored
- Build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community to ensure good communications and collaboration regarding emergency response preparedness.
Candidates should possess demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, organize and manage multiple projects, manage a budget, and maintain a focus on end goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A bachelor’s degree with emergency management, public health, biology or related focus is required.
