Health Planning and Promotion Coordinator
Marietta/Belpre Health Department
Marietta/Belpre Health Department is seeking an experienced public health professional to coordinate our accreditation efforts and health planning and education/promotion services in wide variety of community settings.
Qualifications/Licensure Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in health education/promotion, public health, health sciences, communications, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of community health planning and education/promotion and/or public health accreditation experience.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability according to Health Department policy.
- Previous experience working with rural and/or Appalachian populations beneficial. Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) skills preferred.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serves as agency’s Accreditation Coordinator.
- Facilitates and/or conducts community health and health education assessments; plans health education strategies, interventions, and programs; formulates measurable community health outcomes and program objectives.
- Leads the data collection and analysis, needs identification, and program development for vulnerable populations; represents the agency in the community through various activities.
- Functions as Health District Public Information Officer; coordinates health communications and marketing efforts; prepares communication materiel on health-related topics in multiple formats for distribution to appropriate outlets within the community, including via agency website and social media accounts.
The position will be full time (40 hours/week), starting January 2, 2020.
Pay Grade: 5; Range: $20.25 - $27.35
