Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000
The Planner role requires an individual who has obtained a planning or planning-related degree and is in the early stages of their career. This role involves professional-level duties and judgment to evaluate and process development applications and draft reports. Individuals in this role will increase knowledge and skills in the areas of land planning, subdivision process, lot splits, construction and compliance, and development grants based on the needs of the department.
The Planner position includes the application review of various types of plans (Preliminary Plans, Construction Plans, Subdivision Plats, Soil Erosion & Stormwater Plans, Grading Plans, etc.) and will actively participate in communication, progress, and record keeping for online applications and permits. The role of Planner also includes working with the general public, property owners, design professionals and developers to address planning-related needs. This position will include a greater focus on compliance and enforcement efforts as part of the site development process.
