Central Ohio Chapter CAI ... Call for Nominations - Deadline December 31
Good afternoon, everyone:
The Chapter’s annual meeting will be held on January 21, 2021, at 12:00pm, via Zoom. More information about the annual meeting, including how to register, will be coming soon.
This email relates to the election of new members of the Chapter’s Board of Directors that would normally take place at the annual meeting. This year, we will be voting by electronic ballot and tabulating the results in advance of the meeting, and announcing the newly elected Board members at the annual meeting. We will be sending an email on January 4th with your electronic ballot and information about the voting process. Please watch your inbox for this email.
This year, there are 2 openings for the Board. Any Volunteer Leader, Business Partner, or Community Association Manager member in good standing may run for these seats. Our Bylaws prohibit any one category of member from having a majority of positions on the Board (more than 3), so that will limit how many from each category may be elected to the Board.
If you are interested in running for the Board, please complete the 2021 Board of Directors Nomination Form. The only qualification is that you must be a member in good standing from one of these categories. The deadline for applications is 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 31st.
Since votes will be cast before the annual meeting, nominees will not get to address the members at the annual meeting. To make sure that all nominees have a chance to introduce themselves to voters and explain why they are running for election to the Board, nominees are encouraged to prepare a brief written introduction and explanation as to why they feel they should be elected (not to exceed 1 typed page) and/or a video introduction not to exceed 1 minute long. Nominees may upload the written document, video, or both by using a link that we will send upon request.
