When choosing where to live, renters have historically evaluated price, square footage, on-site amenities, and a complex’s proximity to stores, restaurants, and other activities. 

Today’s renters are also making decisions about where to live based on a property’s stance on the environment and whether it offers on-site recycling.

 You may have had inquiries about adding recycling but don’t know what it costs or how to go about the process of providing on-site service. You may own your own dumpsters or need a valet type of service if your property doesn’t have space to accommodate a recycling dumpster. 

SWACO can help you add or improve your recycling and work through the process.

While SWACO does not provide hauler services, we can help you secure recycling service and we do provide FREE resident education toolkits to help your residents understand how to recycle right, and we provide FREE property manager toolkits to make your job easier. Our vendor partners work with SWACO to deploy these kits on-site, so you don’t have to! 

What’s in a Resident Educational Toolkit?

• A reusable/washable tote bag that residents can use to collect materials for transport to your on-site recycling dumpster.
  
  
• A welcome instructional letter about the recycling program your complex is starting.
  
  
• A repositionable cling that explains what can be recycled. 

What’s in a Property Manager's Toolkit? 

• Directional signage to help residents locate the designated recycling dumpsters on your property.
  
  
• Educational signage to help reduce contamination and support recycling right behaviors.
  
  
• Banners for indoor and outdoor use to advertise that you’re a recycling community.
  
  
• Educational posters for indoor public areas encourage recycling right behaviors.
  
  
• Permanent decals can be added to existing dumpsters to designate them as recycling-only dumpsters.
• Aluminum signage that provides recycling education messaging at the enclosure area.
